Julie graduated Dentistry from Bristol university (1999) with prizes awarded by British Society for Restorative Dentistry and Roger Smith Elective Award. General Professional Training at Newcastle Dental Institute and within the community dental service in Sussex offered the opportunity to obtain a wide range of experience in both primary, secondary and tertiary health care settings and successfully obtain her Membership at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (2001).
Julie undertook specialist training at King’s College Dental Institute. She obtained a MSc in Paediatric Dentistry King’s College London (2008), Membership in Paediatric at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (2008) and Fellow at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (2010) in Paediatric Dentistry.
She was appointed as a Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry at King’s College Dental Institute NHS Foundation Trust in 2010 and later at The Royal Alexandra Hospital in Brighton in 2021.
In her current role, she is involved in the multidisciplinary team cleft clinic, care for oncology patients, complex medical conditions and multidisciplinary orthodontic and restorative clinics.
Julie lives locally in West Sussex and is a mum to two lovely children.
