He has a background in working as a hospital doctor in A&E, in Maxillofacial surgery and then as a general dentist. He also worked for many years in the Department of Restorative dentistry at the University Hospitals, Sussex.
Frans also has a special interest in treating patients who suffer with pain from clenching and grinding their teeth (Bruxism) with Botulinum toxin and has published his own research on its success on patients from Graystone Referral Centre.
In 2017, Frans completed his surgical exams to become a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS). He completed two advanced courses in aesthetic and restorative dentistry by Dr Richard Porter and Dr Basil Mizrahi. He also obtained a post graduate certificate in Primary Dental Care from the University of Kent.
Frans has published several papers and has given several presentations at scientific meetings. Furthermore, Frans has been involved in teaching dental students.
In his spare time, Frans enjoys running, cycling, sea swimming and spending time with his wife and three children.
